We are Troop 6 Doylestown, PA
Boy Scouts of America Troop 6, founded in 1923, is a Scout led Troop that is sponsored by the Doylestown United Methodist Church of Doylestown, PA. A core principle of our Troop is to keep Scouting relevant and real for our Scouts and all those involved in the Program. Since its inception, Troop 6 has produced over 115 Eagle Scouts, 26 since 2010. We currently have 46 scouts as well as a robust set of Uniformed Leaders and an experienced Troop Committee. We have a strong passion for helping newer scouts successfully transition into our Troop from Webelos, and we work closely with them to ensure they steadily progress in rank. We also spend significant time and have a proven Life-to-Eagle approach that helps our older Scouts successfully complete their journey from Life Scout to Eagle Scout. We camp 8-9 weekends a year, spend one week at summer camp, participate in several day trips, and perform many community service projects. We also have a strong High Adventure Program in Troop 6 for our older scouts. We have sent many Scout crews and adults to Philmont Scout Reservation in New Mexico and Sea Base in the Florida Keys. We also organize our own High Adventure trips such as this year’s backpacking adventure in The Shenandoah National Park. We will be returning to Sea Base in 2015 and Philmont once again in 2016.
The Troop meets regularly on Monday evenings at 7:30PM at the church
